G1 – 2500m – Turf

Danon Decile

Revenged his exclusion from running the G1 Satsuki Sho (2000m) and won the G1 Japanese Derby (2400m).  Showed second fastest closing speed but finished sixth in the G1 Kikuka Sho (3000m) last time. Secured second for fan vote.

Do Deuce

The defending champion made stunning performances in the two previous runs this autumn, with the fastest time for the last 600m.  This will be his final career start before begin his stud career at Shadai Stallion Station in 2025.

Urban Chic

 

Owned by Silk Racing Co. Ltd, it won the G2 St. Lite Kinen (2200m) for his first graded stakes success and claimed the G1 Kikuka Sho (3000m), the final leg of the Japanese Triple Crown, by 2.5L last time.

Blow The Horn

This year’s G1 Takarazuka Kinen (2200m) winner showed little in previous two starts.  Took two wins in two starts over the course and the distance.

Bellagio Opera

Claimed his first G1 title in the Osaka Hai (2000m) in March and finished third in the G1 Takarazuka Kinen (2200m).  Battled well for 6th in the G1 Tenno Sho Autumn (2000m) last time.

Rousham Park

The 5-year-old rallied seriously and finished a neck second behind Rebel’s Romance in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Turf (2400m) in November.  Has performed on different going conditions.

Stars On Earth

Finished in the top three in 12 of 14 starts.  Showed little in two starts this season – finished 8th in the G1 Dubai Sheema Classic (2410m) and 7th in the G1 Japan Cup (2400m).

Regaleira

The filly won the G1 Hopeful Stakes (2000m) in December 2023 and has run against colts & horses.  Clocked the fastest time for the last 600m in 6 of 7 starts.  Unable to justify her favoritism when 5th in the G1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup (2200m) last time.

Deep Bond

The 7-year-old veteran has not tasted any success since 2022 but ran on well when finished a head second in the G2 Kyoto Daishoten (2400m) in October last time.

Prognosis

Ran on well to finish second to Romantic Warrior in the G1 FWD QEII Cup (2000m) in April and also finished second in the G1 Cox Plate (2040m) in October last time.  First run over 2500m.

Justin Palace

The G1 Tenno Sho Spring (3200m) winner in 2023.  Finished 4th in the last edition of this race.  4th in the G1 Tenno Sho Autumn (2000m) and 5th in the G1 Japan Cup (2400m) in the two previous starts.  The trainer is confident of his exceptional condition.

Struve

Took his first graded race in the G2 Nikkei Sho (2500m) in March and won the G2 Meguro Kinen (2500m) in May but showed little in the previous two starts.

Stunning Rose

The 5-year-old mare claimed her first win since 2022 and second G1 victory in the G1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup (2200m) last time.  This is expected to be her final career start.

Danon Beluga

A 2019 JRHA Select Sale Foal Session graduate. Has finished in the top five in 10 of 13 starts but missed on the board in two starts this autumn. This will be his 11th challenge in G1 races.

Hayayakko

The white horse claimed his first win since 2022 with the remarkable stretch run in the G2 Copa Republica Argentina (2500m) last time.  The 8-year-old horse is in great condition and Nakayama suits him.

Shahryar

Started off this term with second in the G1 Dubai Sheema Classic (2410m) at Meydan.  Still showed consistency when 5th in the G2 Sapporo Kinen (2000m) in August and third in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Turf (2400m) last time.
