As part of The Hong Kong Jockey Club’s series of celebratory activities to mark its 140th anniversary under the banner “With you. Then. Now. Always.”, the Club will change the Operator Reserve Deduction of the Quartet, the First 4, and the Double Trio to provide more jackpot opportunities, with effect from the Sha Tin day meeting on Sunday, 1 December.

The Club will strengthen the Operator Reserve for the Quartet and First 4 Merged Pool, with an equivalent of 3.5% of the pool turnover deducted as the Operator Reserve Deduction, contributed from the Club’s revenue.

In addition, the Club will increase the deduction rate for the Double Trio Operator Reserve from 0.5% to 5%, also contributed from the Club’s revenue.

Payout ratios of the above three bet types remain unchanged.

The Operator Reserve will be used to support jackpots for the Quartet & First 4 Merged Pool, and the Double Trio pools for specific race meetings.

To continuously improve the racing wagering experience, the Club has introduced several measures to enhance the racing betting pools in recent years, including the set-up of the Operator Reserve in 2023. After deducting dividend payouts, an amount taken from the Club’s revenue will be allocated to the Operator Reserve to provide more jackpots for race-goers.

All customers must be aged 18 or above.
