Hugh Bowman and Karis Teetan will join Zac Purton and Vincent Ho as Hong Kong, China’s four representatives in the 2024 LONGINES International Jockeys’ Championship (IJC) on Wednesday, 4 December at Happy Valley.
Crowned 2023/24 Hong Kong Champion Jockey, Purton has the first of four berths allocated to riders from Hong Kong’s talent pool. Ho will participate in the event as the 2023 IJC Champion while Bowman and Teetan fill the remaining positions allocated with 19 and 15 wins this season, respectively (as of 20 November). Both Bowman and Teetan are past IJC champions in 2016 and 2019, respectively.
The list of this year’s invited jockeys for the LONGINES IJC was released on 5 November.
