1800m - Dirt

Bold Zone

Miho-based. Highly consistent with all 6 starts in top three. Excellent speed. First start at this level, only second time to right and first time at Kyoto. Looked good last week in work finishing together with G1 winner Regaleira. Promising.

Chuwa Heart

Proved highly consistent at class below. Modest 7th first start at this level and first finish off the board. Returns after 6-month layoff with morning work seemingly light. Could surprise but likely needs sharpener.

Cremet d'Anjou

Hasn’t finished in top three in last three starts, but has had good results over Kyoto 1800m-1900m. Needs stronger pace. Will have weight advantage as 4-year-old filly, but not promising.

Daimei Seven

Has posted 12-7 since moving to this class. Early speed but has lacked stamina since moving to this level. Drop in distance this time a plus, but not promising with tight rotation.

Henny Typhoon

This filly was looking good from June to August with 3-4-3 at this level. Knuckled over last out in September and dislodged jockey. Has good results over Kyoto 1800m. Versatile with good late speed. Ample chance.

Lap Star

Big colt relatively consistent with the odd finish off the board with six finishes in top three from nine starts. Last raced in May in first start at this class. Won first-up before. Speed may not be competitive here. First time at Kyoto.

Leander

Moved up in class last out in October. Raced keenly after 3 months off, finished 11th. Showing improvement in work. Best results when leads. Won over Kyoto 1800m and will have weight advantage as 3-year-old colt. A high bar.

Marble Rock

Moving up in class on third try in 2-win class with wire-to-wire win over Kyoto 1800m. Has found better results since leading over last five starts. A high bar but worth a wager.

Meisho Kogashira

Two seconds in four starts since moved up to this class. Most recent race got second over Kyoto 1800m in October after returning from 3 months off. Tends to travel handily with good late kick. Has talent but highly moody, proving inconsistent.

Meisho Shinano

Showed promise on first start at this level but has only one finish on board in four starts since. Runs honestly but responses tend to be slow. Heavy track would be a plus.

Omega Tuxedo

Sixth last out in October over Tokyo 2100m. Slow to fire and needs stronger pace. Two previous starts over 1800m, one at Kyoto, finished second in both. Showing improvement and is maintaining condition. Kyoto 1800m seems to be best trip. Ample chance.

Rudesheim

Ritto-based colt. Consistent and versatile but temperamental and moving up in class. Proven over distance and venue with only two finishes (both 4th) out of top three from eight career starts. Has weight advantage as 3-year-old. Looking good in morning work. Promising if can maintain cool.

Saimon Xanadu

Posted 2-4-3 in last three starts, all over 1700m-1800m, last start in October over Kyoto 1800m. Late closer with sharp turn of foot. Clocked field’s fastest time over last 3 furlongs last out. Promising.

Sunrise Groove

Prospects look bleak with 11-10 in last two starts since moving to this class. Races midfield. Likely not competitive here.
