G1 - 2321m - Turf

1

Doha

An Ascot winner on her only previous start here, though in a handicap over the straight 1600m. Continues to run well, landing a 2000m Listed prize at Saint-Cloud this month. Needs to prove herself up in trip.

2

Quantanamera

German-trained she posted a career best when clearing away from her rivals in a 2500m G2 at Deauville in August. Bypassed an engagement at ParisLongchamp for this target.

3

Queen Of The Pride

Returns 58 days after a dismal run at York, having previously shown her quality with G3 and G2 wins over this trip at Haydock. Back in that sort of form she certainly has a chance.

4

Sea Theme

Much too strong for her Listed rivals over this trip at Clairefontaine in July. Not good enough in G1s on her last two starts, though not beaten far when not getting a great passage at ParisLongchamp last time.

5

Sumiha

A 4yo who has only raced five times. A G3 winner at Cork in June, running to a similar level under a 2lb penalty when quite a close fourth in a Leopardstown G3 last month.

6

Thunder Roll

Stays further than this and was fighting to the end when a close fourth in a 2800m G1 at ParisLongchamp this month. Won’t be one of the favourites but slow ground suits. Should run well.

7

Tiffany

Has gradually been rising in distance and grade, a feature of her trainer’s strategy.  Strong at the finish when outpointing seven rivals in a 2400m G2 at Baden-Baden in August. Live chance.

8

Time Lock

Hasn’t made a huge impact in either G1 efforts – including in this last year. However, has plenty of ability and zoomed clear of her rivals in a soft-ground G3 at Newmarket last month. Wearing a first-time tongue-tie then.

9

Village Voice

Up to this trip for the second time, and it certainly looked to suit this big filly as she delivered a personal best when a 4L Listed winner at Saint-Cloud last month. Slow ground is ideal.

10

Content

Slowly away and never able to threaten in a G1 at ParisLongchamp this month. Much sharper on her previous start - at York  - when powerful up the demanding straight there to win a G1 over this trip. Wants a swift pace to aim at.

11

Grateful

Will want this to turn into a real stamina test as she has been racing over further, most recently when making a G1 breakthrough to win over 2800m at ParisLongchamp this month.

12

Kalpana

Sharply on the upgrade and looks ready to tackle G1 company now after quickening clear of her rivals in a G3 over this trip at Kempton last month.

13

War Chimes

Ran way better than her odds might have suggested when third in the G1 Oaks at Epsom in May. Not so good in the Irish equivalent last time, but the ground wasn’t as slow as she wants.

14

Wingspan

This lightly-raced filly deserves a rise to this trip and a crack at G1 company. Led and kept fighting when headed late on to finish a close second in a G2 at the Curragh last month.
