Ideally suited by this trip, placed over this course and distance in June. In good heart after returning from a mini break to win at Saint-Cloud.

Only fourth run this year. Won over this 2000m course in 2023.

At nine, the old man of the field. He’s proved a good servant, registering a win in all his seven seasons. Others preferred.

This three-year-old filly has been enjoying herself this summer, winning three of her last four races outside Paris but all over shorter than today’s test.

Hard to make out a case for this six-year-old veteran of 58 races who is stepping up in trip after three disappointing outings.

Fashion Grey

This son of former French Derby winner The Grey Gatsby enjoyed his last visit to Paris Longchamp, landing a 2100m handicap in May. Two unplaced runs since.

Al Barq

This four-year-old, which has done the bulk of his racing in the provinces, booked his ticket for the first trip to Paris with a win and a third in Toulouse last month. Suited by the trip.

His one win from eight races this term came in a 2000m handicap at Chantilly in June. Disappointing in three efforts since.

The bottom weight is hoping to repeat his last run, when scoring over this 2000m test three weeks ago in soft ground.
