The verti-drain and corer were used on the Happy Valley turf track to alleviate surface compaction according to the following schedules:
| 12 – 19 September | A to B Course (Worked Back Position) |
| 26 September | C Course (Worked Back Position) and the remaining area |
On completion of the works, the areas were lightly rolled as per previous practice.
