Not at his best in this race last year when only ninth. Chances at his best as he was when blasting from the gates for an all-the-way victory in a G3 at Santa Anita in 2023.

Mo Gold

Returned from an absence to win over 1200m on the dirt at Santa Rosa in August. Has winning turf form also.

Sassy Nature

Has a good record on a firm turf track over this trip at Del Mar, limbering up for this with a smart victory here in early August and recording some very impressive speed figures. Looks a major contender.

Daniel’s Magic

A 1200m Santa Anita winner in June, and most recently was second to today’s rival Sassy Nature over this course and distance in early August.

Star Racer

A cheap purchase who has proved a bargain with six wins.  Did score over this course and distance much earlier in his career, but mostly competes over further now and may struggle following an absence.

Noble Reflection

It would be a big shock if he was quick enough to win this. He returned from an absence when well beaten over 1600m here in July.

Unconquerable Keen

Won a decent prize over this course and distance last December, and both runs this year can be counted as encouraging though he was behind today’s rival Sassy Nature here in early August.

No Nay Hudson

At his best at the end of last year when having too much pace for his rivals over this trip at Gulfstream Park. Probably in need of his first run since when fifth at Saratoga in July.

Connie Swingle

An impressive winning strike-rate with seven wins from eleven starts, the most recent of those with a decisive display of pace here in July. A lot to like about her chances.

Motorious

Even though his races this year have been nothing special so far, he must be respected having been unbeaten in two starts over this course and distance, including victory in this last year.

Johnny Podres

Has won nine of his 39 starts, including three consecutive victories (over further than this) at Santa Anita earlier in the year. An encouraging second over this course and distance in August.

Turn On The Jets

Ran just fairly on his only 2024 start but he is yet to run a poor race over this course and distance including three wins, and a good fourth in this race last year.
