In the event that the race is oversubscribed, horses will be eliminated in weight order, with the lowest weighted horses being eliminated first. If a horse has incurred a penalty for winning after the publication of the weights, its new weight, including the penalty, will be used when determining its position in the elimination order. Where it is necessary to eliminate some but not all horses with the same weight, elimination will take place in the published ascending order, such order having been determined by random balloting.
