Made no impact at Royal Ascot having been gelded and returning from a break but was an eye-catching second at Ripon subsequently. Best on good or slower ground.

This versatile 13-times winner veteran keeps on proving that he still has enthusiasm and ability. Made fast late headway to finish fourth in a hot Goodwood handicap this month.

Dream Harder

Almost broke an 11-race losing run when fighting hard to the end to finish a close second over this trip at Ascot this month. However, the 3lb rise for that does not look helpful.

An upwardly mobile gelding who was a winner over this course and distance – in a handicap in July – on his only previous visit here.

Grey Cuban

Posted a clear career best when with a smooth front-running Chester handicap victory last month. Up 7lb for that and up to this trip for the first time also.

Now on a long losing run. May do better dropping back to a trip he has won over, having been well beaten over further lately. Dropped a helpful 3lb since his last start.

Mr Monaco

Sharp improvement since being gelded, gaining his first handicap victory with an impressive display at Sandown this month. Respected if this rise in trip helps not hinders.

Dark Moon Rising

Stays this trip well and has winning form over this course and distance, a plus at this track. However, he was quite well beaten in this race last year.

Derry Lad

Supporters will need to ignore a dismal performance at Galway this month. Much better when third at Epsom previously and may have won that with a better trip.

Came back from a long absence to win a soft-ground Doncaster handicap in March. But struggling off higher marks since and also untested at this trip.

Has looked very progressive since being gelded and was a good second at Goodwood earlier this month. Up to this trip for the first time and with winning hopes.
