The Committee, by way of written resolution in July 2024, resolved to grant an Apprentice Jockey’s licence to Britney WONG Po Ni to ride in races in Hong Kong from the commencement of the 2024/25 racing season.  Management has conducted a selection process following all trainers being invited to submit an expression of interest to have Apprentice Wong allocated to their stable.  It has subsequently been decided that Apprentice Wong will be allocated to Trainer David Hall. 

To continue her training and prepare for the 2024/25 racing season in Hong Kong, Apprentice Wong departed for a short riding stint in New Zealand last Friday (2 August). Apprentice Wong will commence riding barrier trials in New Zealand today and race rides later this week with valuable support from the New Zealand Equine Academy and New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing.
