From a stable with an excellent winning record in this. Only beaten 1L in fifth of 22 in a 1200m Royal Ascot G2 and this 1400m could be a big plus.

From a small stable that had a welcome winner when this inexpensive purchase easily justified favouritism in a 1200m novices’ event at Newbury this month. Will be an outsider.

Chancellor

Very well bred, he missed the break on his career debut but quickened from last to first to win that maiden at Doncaster earlier this month. This classy type rises in grade and distance now.

Dividend

Had not shown much on his debut, but did much better second time, landing a shock 50-1 success in a 1400m Sandown maiden. So is proven at this trip, and deserves this class rise.

New Century

One of plenty of really good prospects in this Listed event judging by the way he put distance between himself and his rivals (the third having won since) at Doncaster in June.
