1600m – Turf
1 | Conde | Good second to smart New York City over a mile and won well next start this term. |
2 | Velato | Already a winner this season and on a right-handed track like Hamburg. He might be capable of more improvement. |
3 | Noshowlikeajoeshow | Rarely wins (3/30) and well down the field on 30 June. |
4 | Degas | Very smart in younger days but not so good at the tender age of 11. |
5 | Heyne’s Henry | Will appreciate the soft ground but rarely wins. |
6 | Auenfeuer | Seasonal and handicap debut plus first run for new trainer. Looks held on all known form. |
7 | Ace Aussie | Has won only once but good 2nd under topweight earlier in the year. His 4th place in higher class gives him a chance, and from a shrewd stable. |
8 | Kiko | Very easy winner of his last three races, up in class now. Soft ground an unknown, but trainer in flying form. |
9 | Schwarzer Wolf | Has form on soft and his owner who rarely ventures his horses into Handicap class, but hard to fancy on form. |
10 | Senador | Soft ground specialist, consistent form and could be lively outsider. |
11 | Sommersby | From a big yard. Ground and trip no worry, recent form a plus as well. |
12 | Son Gual | Sole win came on a minor track, but may be slightly tough in the weights right now. |
13 | Shoko Lady | Hasn’t run since March when winning a weak race on heavy ground. Must improve. |
14 | Repute | Out of form on recent starts but ran really well at this meeting last year from a similar handicap mark. It would be no surprise to see him running well here. |
15 | Chipping Away | Well handicapped. But is on a long losing run and not much encouragement based on recent efforts. |
16 | Malhumorada | Filly with one win to her name, no form lately. On minimum weight and ‘wrong’ in the handicap. An outsider. |
