In assessing the latest progress of Lot 13, The Hong Kong Jockey Club has elected to sell the International Sale Griffin (ISG) by tender following his withdrawal from the 2024 Hong Kong International Sale last March.

The bay was purchased out of the 2023 Craven Breeze Up Sale in Great Britain. His pre-sale cost is HK$3,510,000, which includes his initial sale price, pre-training and import costs. The tender opens on Monday, 24 June and closes on Tuesday, 2 July.

The youngster is by Siyouni, who is best known as the sire of five-time Group 1 winner St Mark’s Basilica as well as 2020 G1 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (2400m) winner Sottsass, while in Hong Kong, Leading Fortune is his top progeny with eight wins at Sha Tin.

The gelding is out of the mare Reticent Angel and was foaled in March, 2021.
