Gained the seventh win of his career – at odds of 25-1 under top weight in a Kempton handicap – after getting an astute tactical ride from Neil Callan. Up to G3 class for the first time.

Desert Hero

Has won four of his eight starts including a soft-ground G3 over this trip at Goodwood. Only just failed to win another G3 – at Sandown – on his first start since being gelded. Respectable chances here.

Flying Honours

A former 2000m G3 winner who moves up to this trip for the first time, though has stamina in his pedigree. But very disappointing in a Sandown G3 last month.

King Of Conquest

Five career wins all over shorter than this but was a good third in a G3 over this distance at Newmarket last November. Had a rough passage at Newmarket this month. Versatile regarding ground.

Maxi King

A lightly-raced improver who has had little difficulty winning two handicaps this season, latterly over this trip at Newmarket. Needs to handle this rise in class but slow ground would help.

Middle Earth

Has won three of his six starts during a light career including a Listed event at Ascot on his final 2023 start. Blessed with plenty of stamina, he would surely be helped by a fast gallop.

Salt Bay

Only one career win so far but put in a very good show on his first start since being gelded when a close third over this course and distance last month, his second smart effort at this track.

So Moonstruck

Hasn’t been seen for 685 days when only beaten a head into third in the 2022 G1 German Derby in Hamburg. An interesting contender on this first start for his UK stable.
