Miho-based 7-year-old gelding last made board 17 starts ago, despite numerous changes. Prospects bleak.

Consistent colt only missed board once in career 9 starts. Has 5-3-2 since reaching this level, and improved when trip shortened to mile in last two starts. Good late speed. Likely competitive here, but ships from Ritto. First time at Tokyo.

Kitano Bride

Plagued by poor breaks, but has two thirds over 7-8 furlongs in five starts at this level. Familiar with Tokyo and proven. Has a chance at the money if she breaks well.

Suzuno Teresa

Started over turf with poor results, switched to dirt with success, but three of last four starts at this level have brought double-digit results. Return to turf not likely to do the trick.

Tamio Star

Hampered by weak constitution but training change brought results at Nakayama and now moving up in class. Dropped in distance to mile for last two starts with 4-1 results. Miho based but Tokyo mile a high bar.

Vulcano

Has consistently made the money in 5 starts at this level. Raced almost exclusively at Tokyo and over mile. Looking good in work though trainer did refer to some back issues. Nonetheless, likely a solid candidate to fill out a trio.

Zippy Racer

Has best third from 10 starts at this level, largely over mile. May not have the speed to be competitive here.
