Relentless Voyager

Gelded since his last start over ten months ago. He had been beaten 1.5l into third in the G2 Derby Italiano in Rome in May 2023. The ground was heavy that day, and those conditions may be ideal.

Real Dream

Has plenty of stamina and was the easy winner of an Ascot handicap over a longer trip than this last July. Finished strongly when a close third on his final 2023 start. Wants a strong pace here.

Percy Shelley

Plenty of winning form when trained in France but has not so far really clicked since moving to the UK, quite well beaten in three starts. Back up in trip which may be helpful.

Maxi King

Returned from a 383-day absence to beat seven rivals very easily on heavy ground at Ripon last month. Faces an 8lb higher handicap mark but may progress further especially on slow ground.

Youthful King

Competing quite well on all-weather surfaces recently though four of his five career wins have come on a fast turf surface, conditions no doubt that would favour him best here.

To Catch A Thief

Disappointing on his last two starts, considering he started favourite and second favourite for those runs. His two career wins have come on all-weather surfaces. Surely capable of better.

Knightswood

A progressive performer. Looked like making a winning 2024 return after a 311-day absence only to be grabbed late on at Ripon on 27 April.

Hope You Can Run

No distance worries and he had come from last place to win a Catterick handicap over 2412m last year. His only start of 2024 – at Epsom last month – was a modest effort.

Geremia

Has changed stables since his close third at Newcastle in March. Competes over a variety of trips and finished a close fourth in a 2800m handicap at this meeting last year.
