FWD QEII Cup

DUBAI HONOUR (GB)

Cantered on the all weather track.

“Very happy with him,” said Issy Paul, track rider and assistant to trainer William Haggas.

PROGNOSIS (JPN)

Cantered on the all weather track.

The assistant trainer Yasunari Kiyoyama said: “Everything has gone well and I am confident of his preparation going into the race.”

FWD Champions Mile

ELTON BAROWS (JPN)

Cantered on the turf track.

Trainer Haruki Sugiyama said: “Given it’s his first time overseas travel, he has been doing well and feels good. The turf ground seems firm, so the rain is helpful. We will see how he fits the ground tomorrow. He is in good form.”

OBAMBURUMAI (JPN)

Cantered on the all weather track.

Trainer Keiji Yoshimura said, “He is ticking along nicely. I hacked him on the track because he would be more fresh if working only in the trotting ring. I am happy with how he feels now. He is in good condition.”

Chairman’s Sprint Prize

BELIEVING (GB)

Cantered on the all weather track.

Trainer George Boughey said: “She’s just been ticking over since she’s been here. She’s ready to go. I’ve actually never seen her look so well in her coat. She’s a very different proposition to what she was two years ago. She’s got a great mind. I’ve just put a stick in the ground and it’s good ground. It’s not going to rain, apparently, and she’s got a super draw.”

SUNRISE RONALDO (JPN)

Cantered on the all weather track.

Trainer Shogo Yasuda said: “In a good sense, he was very relaxed and settled into the new surroundings, which is good as I thought he would be more edgy and sensitive.  Having watched him today, he has tuned up well.”
