Sydney’s annual flagship thoroughbred event – The Championships – is billed as the “Grand Final” of the Sydney racing season featuring prestigious races over a range of distances for horses of different age groups. The meeting is headlined by one of the world’s richest handicap – the Doncaster Mile, the T J Smith Stakes for the sprinters and the prestigious Australian Derby.
SA Derby Day from Turffontein, Johannesburg (4 races – First race 20.55 Hong Kong time)
The SA Derby meeting is one of South Africa’s leading racing events that promise to bring excitement to punters. The day features not only the SA Derby but also the World Pool Premier’s Champions Challenge over 2000m, to be contested by some of the highest rated horses in the country.

Oka Sho (Japanese 1000 Guineas) from Hanshin
During the Sha Tin race meeting on Sunday, 7 April, the Oka Sho (Japanese 1000 Guineas) will be simulcast live for betting from Hanshin Racecourse. (14.40 Hong Kong time)
The leading 3yo fillies of Japan will go head-to-head in the G1 1600m Oka Sho which serves as the first leg of the Japanese Triple Crown for fillies. The series is completed by the 2400m Yushun Himba (Japanese Oaks) in May and the 2000m Shuka Sho in October.
Final declarations with barrier draws for all the above races will be available on Friday, 5 April.
