The Department of Veterinary Regulation, Welfare & Biosecurity Policy have advised that HELIOS EXPRESS, which is entered to run in the BMW Hong Kong Derby, has continued to be monitored by Veterinary Officers after being found to have a mild infection in the right fore foot associated with a previous hoof wall quarter crack on 12 March 2024. This morning HELIOS EXPRESS was examined by the Veterinary Officer who has reported that the horse was found to be sound and no longer showing signs of the foot condition that was previously reported.

HELIOS EXPRESS will continue with its training programme and will undergo a further routine official pre-race veterinary examination on the morning of Saturday, 23 March 2024.
