RACE 3 – CHATEAUNEUF

CHATEAUNEUF, which performed disappointingly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in its trachea. CHATEAUNEUF was again examined by the Veterinary Surgeon at the stables of Trainer D A Hayes yesterday morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. As previously advised, CHATEAUNEUF will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.

RACE 7 – FAST BUCK

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that FAST BUCK was lame in its left front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, FAST BUCK will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

RACE 9 – FANTASTIC TREASURE

FANTASTIC TREASURE, which performed disappointingly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in its trachea. FANTASTIC TREASURE was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer D A Hayes yesterday morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left hind leg. As previously advised, FANTASTIC TREASURE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.

RACE 10 – TAMRA BLITZ

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that TAMRA BLITZ was lame in its left front leg on the day after racing. Before being allowed to race again, TAMRA BLITZ will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

RACE 10 – OUTGATE

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that OUTGATE was lame in its right hind leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, OUTGATE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

The Veterinary Officer reported that examinations conducted yesterday morning of all other horses inspected during last Saturday’s racemeeting were shown to have no significant findings.
