1st: JUNKO - Maxime Guyon
We didn't know before the race if he would like this ground or not because normally he prefers the soft ground, but today in Hong Kong the ground was good. We had a good race, there weren’t many runners so I wasn’t too far back just after the last turn, he has a good turn of foot.
2nd: ZEFFIRO - Damian Lane
He ran super.
3rd: WARM HEART - Ryan Moore
She ran great.
4th: GERALDINA - William Buick
She ran great, we went very slow and it didn’t really suit her. She’s a classy filly.
5th: SENOR TOBA - Vincent Ho
I’ve gone uphill faster than that but my horse is not a sit and sprint horse and I got held up by Joao.
6th: FIVE G PATCH - Alexis Badel
It was a very good run from the horse. I was three deep which is never ideal but we went slow so I was just trying to keep a nice rhythm and he ran well.
7th: LA CITY BLANCHE - Zac Purton
He’ll be better suited to Happy Valley.
8th: LEBENSSTIL - Joao Moreira
He still had a good run through in transit but he wasn’t really able to finish it off. The sort of pace he had to deal with here is very different to what he’s used to back home. I just don’t think he brought his best.
