LONGINES Hong Kong Cup

Rousham Park – JPN

Warmed up in the trotting ring before a gentle canter over 1.5 laps of the all-weather course under Shimpei Oguchi.

Oguchi said: “I focused to keep him balanced, to make him more relaxed when he cantered. All has gone well both physically and mentally. He will gallop on the turf course tomorrow.”

Hishi Iguazu – JPN

Hacked for 1000m, trotted for 400m and cantered for 1400m on the all-weather course before he went to walk in the paddock area under his regular work rider Tomohiro Takahashi.

Takahashi said: “He was more relaxed than yesterday when he worked on the course. He is getting used to the new surroundings. He has more room to improve physically, but he tried to grab the bit during the canter.  I think he keeps good form. He was settled in at the paddock.”

Prognosis – JPN

1200m gallop on turf, last 400m in 24.1.

Jockey Yuga Kawada said: “I made sure not to overwork him. He responded well when I asked for a little bit on the homestretch. Everything has been going well so far, and I hope it continues in the next few days. “

Sword Point – HKG

Trainer Frankie Lor said: “He’s all good. He galloped on Monday (4 December) with Money Catcher and he galloped well. Zac Purton will be aboard to gallop him tomorrow (Thursday, 7 December).”

Money Catcher – HKG

Trainer Frankie Lor said: “He’s good. It depends on the draw this weekend.”

LONGINES Hong Kong Sprint

Highfield Princess – GB

Trotted and walked most of a lap of the turf course before having a breeze down the home straight, quickening to run her last 400m in 23.6.

Trainer John Quinn said: “All grand, she just quickened up over the last couple of furlongs. She ll exercise every day but that s about it. She s a very good traveller, she s very intelligent and likes different things. She s travelled over here great.”

Lucky With You – HKG

Trainer Frankie Lor said: He s not that high class but his form is good. Let s see if we can get some prize money if we get a good draw.”

Mad Cool – JPN

800m gallop on turf, last 400m in 21.5.

Shuhei Nakura (stable representative) said: “I asked him on the homestretch, and he reacted really well; more than I expected. With both his speed and power, the turf at Sha Tin should suit him.”

LONGINES Hong Kong Vase

Steady gallop for 800m, last 400m in 24.0, on the turf course under jockey Yuichi Kitamura.

The Takashi Saito’s stable representative Masaru Danno said: “The jockey told me she worked very well and moved nicely."

One and a half lap canter on all-weather track.
