LONGINES Hong Kong Cup

Trotted in formation before a gentle canter over a lap of the all-weather course under Pa Murphy, with his Aidan O’Brien stablemates, behind a lead horse
Trainer Aidan O’Brien’s representative Pat Keating said: “They got here on Saturday morning and everything has been great, not a bother with them. This was their first time on the track this week, just an easy lap behind the lead horse. We’ll just be gradually building it up through the week but we’re very happy with them.”
Horizon Dore – FR
Came out in company with fellow French challengers Tribalist and Junko before cantering a solo lap of the Sha Tin all-weather track under work rider Dorian Gonzales.
Christophe Peyne, stable representative for trainer Patrice Cottier, said: “He’s used to long road trips up from Marseille but this is his first long voyage and he’s arrived in good form. He was a bit on his toes the first day out on the track but he was better today.
“He’s quite generous in the mornings, that’s normal for him. It’s a great experience for all of us to run here and he’s settled in very well so there’s no reason things won’t go well.”

Walked for 60 minutes before light exercise for 20 minutes in the trotting ring in the quarantine stable.
Stable representative Shimpei Oguchi said: “He came out to exercise in the trotting ring for the first time after he arrived in Hong Kong. He was settled and cantered with good balance. I hope he will keep his good form.”
Hishi Iguazu – JPN
Hacked for 1000m in the trotting ring under the work rider.
Stable representative Tomohiro Takahashi said: “He has been getting used to the new surroundings here and has been almost the same as how he is in Japan. As he was getting relaxed and flexible during the work, I didn’t even ask him for more today.”
Prognosis – JPN
An hour’s light exercise with stablemate Serifos (Mile).
Yasunari Kiyoyama (stable representative) said: “All is well. We’d like to think he’s keeping in good form.”
LONGINES Hong Kong Mile

The stable representative Yuki Iwasaki said: “I asked him a bit stronger yesterday, so I just did a hand walk to loosen him in the trotting ring this morning. He has travelled well to Hong Kong and has not lost weight. He is eating up very well at the moment. I plan to give him a fast breeze on Thursday.”
Tribalist – FR
Cantered just under a lap of the all-weather track under work rider Johann Herve, leading stablemate Junko.
Richard Lambert, stable representative for Andre Fabre, said: “It’s the same whenever we travel horses; the work has already been done and it’s a case of recuperation and then keep them ticking over. They’ll do no more than usual.
“They’ve both travelled over well and settled in. It was quite cold when we left Chantilly whereas it’s quite warm here for the time of year. The horses are well.
“Junko has already been to Dubai but this is a first voyage for Tribalist and it helps that they are together.”
Lim’s Kosciuszko – SIN
Cantered two laps on the all-weather track.
Trainer Dan Meagher said: “He had a bit of a buck that showed me he needs to do a little bit more pace work. He just went two laps. I trotted him a good half a lap and he had a good canter.”

LONGINES Hong Kong Sprint
Highfield Princess – GB
Exercised in the trotting ring in the quarantine barn.
Stable representative Sean Quinn said: “There’s a trotting ring in the quarantine area and we exercised her there at 7am this morning. She travelled well and she has put on the majority of the weight she lost in travel. I’m not sure what work we’ll do with her this week. Dad (John, trainer) is in the air now and he lands today. Tomorrow we might stay on the trotting track or we’ll come out and give her a hack up the straight. We’re allowed to use the turf track twice so I’d imagine we’ll have a look there later in the week. Jason Hart gets here on Thursday so he’ll want to sit on her on the track on Friday.”
Jasper Krone – JPN
Walked for 90 minutes in the horse walker at the quarantine stable.
The stable representative Daishi Hidaka said: “Having done a piece of steady work yesterday, he walked in the horse walker this morning. During a short period, he travelled to the United States, flew back to Japan and came to Hong Kong. Compared to the long travel from Japan to America, the trip to Hong Kong was much shorter and smoother and did not affect his body weight. It’s quite easier to handle him in every aspect here. He will come out on the all-weather tomorrow and gallop on Thursday.”
