The Stewards have been notified by Racing NSW Stewards that Club Jockey Hugh Bowman pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding on his mount SNOWMAN in Race 4 (G3 Gloaming Stakes) which was conducted at Royal Randwick Racecourse on Saturday, 14 October 2023.

They have advised that Jockey Bowman’s licence to ride in races has been suspended for a period to commence on Monday, 30 October 2023 (at the expiration of a careless riding suspension from the Happy Valley racemeeting conducted on 11 October 2023 where Jockey Bowman’s licence to ride in races was suspended for 2 Hong Kong racedays to commence on Wednesday, 25 October 2023 and to expire on Monday, 30 October 2023) and to expire on Saturday, 11 November 2023, on which day he may resume race riding. As such, Jockey Bowman will be eligible to accept race riding engagements at the Sha Tin racemeeting to be conducted on Saturday, 11 November 2023.
