2564m – Turf

1

Jackfinbar

G3 scorer in 2018. Returned after four-year absence in July. Out of luck on third start this year in ultra competitive 2771m handicap at York. Definite claims.

2

Ceallach

One to consider on this step up in trip. Should be suited by his first time over distance after doing all his best work in the closing stages when second over 2136m last time.

3

Enfranchise

Won over hurdles on penultimate start. Has performed well on the forecast good ground. Beaten 5 lengths when back on the flat on last outing over shorter.

4

Dartan

Stays the trip well. Decent form last year before minor injury cut short his season. Busy campaign this term, and is on a three-timer after a hurdle win last time.

5

Etna Rosso

Was by no means disgraced when fifth at 33-1 in G2 over 2800m at Royal Ascot in June. Tried to make all, hustled out of third at the post, in 2800m Listed race at the track on latest start.

6

Golden Twilight

Last of his five wins came on the all-weather in 2022. Fourth on last run in August.

7

Imaginarium

Lightly raced. Appears best suited by a softer surface. A staying on sixth, beaten around seven lengths, in a rich 2400m handicap in August on last start.

8

Nusret

Well regarded by his astute trainer. Does not like the going too soft. Third in a G1 hurdle at Aintree’s Grand National meeting in April. Won cosily on return to flat in June over 2800m.

9

La Hacienda

Well beaten on last start but has strong claims if repeating penultimate performance when landing a 3251m handicap on the all-weather. Only fourth run this year.

10

Burren Song

Best when allowed to race at the front. A three-time winner already this year. Sixth over shorter on last start. Stamina not an issue.

11

Comfort Zone

Reappearance on the level after landing a G2 four-year-old hurdle at Cheltenham in January to bring up a three-timer. Possible warm-up for a prestigious handicap later in month.

12

Satin

After almost a year out made a successful return to action in June over 1600m. Not beaten by far when fifth in a 2392m handicap at Ascot three weeks ago.

13

Merlin Giant

Best form over jumps. Back on the level after finishing down the field in high class 3210m hurdle. Scored over this trip on penultimate start.

14

Nibiru

A hurdles winner last year, out of luck on nine attempts since.

15

Bold Approach

Veteran seven-year-old having his first outing since returning to the stable where he did most of his racing until 2021. Unsighted on only two runs this term back in April/May.

16

No Niki No

Consistent, tough and has improved over the years, this seven-year-old won at the track over shorter in June. More at home over this further distance.
