G1 – 1600m – Turf
Belbek |
G1 winner at two, smart colt stepping up to 1600m for first time after finishing in mid-field when bumping a rival over 1400m in a G1 in July. |
Big Rock |
Made huge improvement after joining this stable. Has failed to justify favouritism in French G1s on his last two starts but has run really well from the front each time. A formidable opponent to all. |
Erevann |
A G3 and a G2 (at ParisLongchamp) winner over this trip last year. Not good enough in G1s on his last two starts and probably needs very soft ground to have a winning chance here. |
Facteur Cheval |
Always does his best, and his best is getting better. Despite not having a smooth trip he ran an excellent second to classy Paddington in a Goodwood G1 last month. Best chance on a slow surface. |
Fast Raaj |
Disappointing when taken to Meydan earlier this year, but much better back in France and his victory in a G3 over this trip at Chantilly in July was a career best run. A bit more needed though. |
Kelina |
Looks to need a faster surface than she has often encountered. Showed she had plenty of pace in the right conditions when winning a G2 over this trip at Chantilly in June. |
Sauterne |
Only one poor race in her career and two excellent races in G1 company on her last two starts, only narrowly beaten by two older horses at Deauville last time. Races prominently. Likes slow ground. |
Topgear |
Highly consistent, finishing in the first two in all seven starts. Although he failed to justify odds-on favouritism, his second in a G3 at Chantilly in July was another fine effort. First G1 test now. |
