Gained his second win on his latest start, in a 1400m G2 at Goodwood, always in control of his eight rivals late on. The drop back in trip is not a major concern for this speedy colt.

Action Point

Put a modest display at Royal Ascot behind him, when leading throughout to outspeed eight rivals in a 1200m Listed event at Newbury. Deserves his place in this after that fine performance.

Emperor’s Son

Won a fast-ground novices’ event first time out despite being badly hampered at the start. Didn’t make a big impact in a Royal Ascot G2 on his only other start.

Hala Emaraaty

Won his first two starts but has struggled to make much of an impact against stronger opposition since, latterly in a G2 at Goodwood.

Jehangeer

A big colt who justified favouritism on his second start, with the form of that 1200m Ayr maiden event boosted by subsequent victories by the second and third. His stable have won this before.

Johannes Brahms

Showed a determined attitude to win on his debut, and then a really good second of 23 in a Listed event at Royal Ascot. Looks a major contender for the Aidan O’Brien stable.

King’s Gamble

Made smooth headway in the last 400m to comfortably beat six rivals in a 1200m novices’ event at Newmarket this month. A very encouraging start to his career.

Kylian

Stable enjoying another fine season despite a few reverses lately. Surged clear of his rivals in Listed company at Sandown then just outpaced over 1000m in a Goodwood G3. This longer trip may prove very helpful.

Lake Forest

A winner first time out, and then successfully up in class when second in a Newmarket G2. A red-hot favourite to win a novices’ event on the basis of that but proved very disappointing. Excuses perhaps.

Power Mode

Comfortable winner of a maiden on his debut, then ran a respectable fourth in a G3 at Deauville, finishing well after being outpaced. Has stamina for more than this trip so will want a strong pace.
