Last seen when second in this race last year, having notched up three consecutive victories before then. Will need to be very sharp after the absence but possible from this stable.

Sirona

Led from the gate to easily win a Listed race in Cologne last year. Briefly outpaced when dropped to 1600m for a Newmarket handicap last month before finishing strongly to grab second.

Sisyphus Strength

Raced too freely at Royal Ascot but much better last time when recording a personal best to comfortably win a 2000m Newmarket handicap. Competes off a 6lb higher mark here.

Chelsea Green

Launched from the back to make a winning 2023 return in a 1600m Newmarket handicap. Didn’t figure at Royal Ascot, but a close third – finishing well – in a 2000m Listed event at Vichy in July.

Lan Cinnte

Irish-trained, she has raced over a variety of trips but never this far. Arrives here fresh off a victory at Galway this month, doing well after an uncomfortable trip. Best on good or slow ground.

Reach

An impressive winner of fast ground handicaps over this trip at Nottingham and Beverley earlier in the season. Below her best last time when racing too keenly.

Rowayeh

Despite racing too keenly she won a 1600m Sandown handicap in June, and then ran a decent third at Goodwood. Chances on pedigree that this longer trip will be fine for her.

Prenup

Led at a steady pace and then kept on strongly to win an 1800m Sandown handicap this month. The testing ground looked in her favour that day. Chance if this latest rise in trip suits her.

Aiming High

Looked threatening at Sandown last weekend but ran out of steam late on after racing a bit too keenly. She would need to make decent improvement from that to have a chance here.

No Nay Nicki

Six of her fourteen starts – including two seconds – have been at this track. But will need to improve on her latest starts and also prove the stamina for this trip.

Youngest

Showed very little on her first two starts this season but did better at Goodwood last time when she would surely have finished closer than seventh if she had enjoyed a better passage.

No wins from four starts this year but put in an improved performance last time when – despite a slow start – she finished well when third at Ayr.
