2500m – Polytrack
Barc |
Ran promisingly when sixth here two weeks ago, and longer trip may well play to his strengths. |
Chiquita Piconera |
Won a claimer last season, but out of the numbers here two weeks ago, although she was coming off a long lay-off. |
Delsheer |
The gelding has been in modest form this season, but he does tend to reserve his best for Deauville, having made the first five on five occasions there this season. |
Gold Palace |
Clearly in need of the run (11th of 13) after a ten month absence. However, did win on the Parisian circuit last season, and likely to improve for the run. |
Ishraq |
Has had a busy campaign (one win in 11), this well-travelled type will be seeking to revive his fortunes on the back of Saint-Malo second in a modest contest. |
King Motif |
Seemed to be losing his way until gained confidence boosting win last time. Also successful earlier in the campaign (again on the minor provincial circuit) and supplemented for this. |
Libre |
This dual course and distance winner (2022), has won in the provinces this season at Le Croise-Laroche, but otherwise in modest form. |
Marshall Lessing |
The 10-year-old continues to win his fair share of races in the provinces (two wins in 2023), but generally not as effective at Deauville. |
Oser |
Although out of sorts, the mare tends to perform well here (three course and distance wins), and one to note if nibbled at in the market. |
Shatterhand |
Opened his account on heavy ground at Saint-Cloud in October, but un-raced since November and unlikely to be as fit as some of these. |
Sleeper |
A course and distance winner in 2022, but out of sorts this term following six consecutive unplaced efforts. |
