G1 – 1200m – Turf

Edwardian

Swooped from off the pace to win Naas maiden going away. Entered in some top races, this Irish juvenile looks one to keep the right side of.

Elite Status

Bounced back from sole career defeat, at Royal Ascot, to win G3 over course and distance. Highly regarded, the yard won this in 2017.

Jasour

Improved on Nottingham win by springing a 16-1 surprise in the G2 at Newmarket. There was no fluke about that win, and likely improver from a yard that won this in 2012.

Johannes Brahms

Appeals as the type to improve with his racing, and plenty to like about Royal Ascot Listed second, especially as the winner has franked the form by adding a G3 win to his CV.

Ramatuelle

It has taken a very smart customer to lower her colours this season, and riding high on the back of impressive G3 and G2 wins. Clearly a leading chance.

River Tiber

Ranks high in the pecking order in top Irish yard. Unbeaten in three starts, including Royal Ascot G2. The form of that race is working out really well, and very much a leading contender.

Sacred Angel

Clearly underestimated, she added to Newmarket win by proving an impressive G3 winner (16-1) at Ascot. Dominated from the front, her racing style could well spell trouble for her rivals.

Sajir

Built on debut promise by bustling up a smart British colt in a G3 race here last month. Could prove troublesome if able to build on that. From a top French yard that boast two prior wins in this.

Thunder Blue

This Goodwood winner has had his limitations exposed on his last three starts, and clearly up against it.

Valiant Force

From an Irish yard that is well endowed in the 2-y-old department. Belied his maiden status to spring a massive 150-1 shock in G2 at Royal Ascot, and now gets the chance to back that up.

Vandeek

Unbeaten in two starts and not hard pressed to win G2 at Goodwood. This smart prospect relished the soft ground that day, and continues on the upgrade.
