G2 – 3000m – Turf

Carlo Biraghi

This former Irish performer mainly plies his trade in the Czech Republic/Slovakia nowadays, and has a bit of a mountain to climb on the evidence of his French Listed seventh in June.

Diva Donna

Can fall back on G3 (2022) and Listed placings, but otherwise the mud loving mare’s form is largely uninspiring this season.

Goya Senora

The defending champion has yet to ignite this season. Has finished sixth in each of his three starts, and so has plenty to prove on current form.

Grand Alliance

The British visitor began his season with a bang with surprise 18-1 win (the outsider of seven) in G3 win at Newbury in the spring, but has looked out of his depth on his last two outings.

Measure Of Time

From a top French yard, he caught the eye when finishing with a flourish to be third on his seasonal debut in Deauville Listed grade in July. Hasn’t the credentials of some of these, but is open to improvement and appeals as an interesting outsider.

Rubis Vendome

Has been keeping smart company, the 3-y-old boasts a G3 win this term, and was far from disgraced into sixth in the G1 Grand Prix de Paris.  One to consider, especially as he will be in receipt of up to 13lb from the older horses.

Run For Oscar

The Irish visitor successfully plundered prestigious Newmarket staying handicap last season, and although continuing on a positive curve this season, he appeals as more of a place prospect.

Sober

Consistent stayer, he is enjoying a productive campaign. Has already tasted G2 success this term, and rallied well for third in similar grade last time.

The Good Man

Improving with age, his positive form figures tell their own story. Plenty to like about his win in G2 grade and 2lb penalty need not prove prohibitive.
