The Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast for betting the Deutsches Derby and the Irish Derby Day races from late evening on Sunday, 2 July.
Deutsches Derby from Germany (Sun, 2 July – 20.15 Hong Kong time)
The Deutsches Derby (G1 2400m for 3yo colts and fillies) dates back to 1869 and is one of the oldest continuous races in Germany. Staged at Hamburg Racecourse, the Deutsches Derby is the richest race in the country carrying €650,000 of prizemoney.
Irish Derby Day from Ireland (Sun, 2 July – 1st race 20.50 Hong Kong time)
Eight races from the Irish Derby Meeting will be simulcast live from the Curragh Racecourse, the headquarters of flat racing in Ireland. The Irish Derby (G1 2400m for 3yo colts and fillies) has over 150 years of history and is now one of the world’s most prestigious races for the classic generation.
