G1 – 3991m – Turf

1

Big Call

Reaching his peak as a 6-y-o. Won two G3 races and last month close third in G2, all at Longchamp over 3100m. Not ruled out if ground turns soft.

2

Broome

High class 7-y-o. Prolific winner over 2000m and 2400m. A question mark over ability to show best over this far.

3

Coltrane

High class stayer. Won Ascot Stakes over same distance at Royal Ascot last year. Improved further and impressive winner of G3 over 3200m on return last month. Top contender.

4

Lone Eagle

Not won since 2021 when also almost won G1 Irish Derby. Not so good now. Second in G3 over 2700m at Chester in May. An unlikely winner.

5

Nate The Great

7-y-o. Fair performer but no evidence that up to the standard needed to win at this level.

6

Subjectivist

Won this race in 2021. Injury delayed return until this year. Promising third in G2 at Meydan in March. Big challenge to recapture 2021 form.

7

Tashkhan

Midfield in this race last year. Often runs well but only won 3 from 19, latest in 2021. Best on soft ground.

8

Trueshan

Top class stayer. Three time winner of G2 Long Distance Cup over 3200m at Ascot and G1 Prix du Cadran over 4000m. Best on soft ground. Disappointing this year and seems in decline.

9

Wise Eagle

Prolific winner at up to 3600m. Improved to finish second in G3 at Ascot last month. Needs to improve further.

10

Yibir

5-y-o. High class performer at G1 level but not raced beyond 2600m. Stepping into the unknown at this distance.

11

Courage Mon Ami

Won 3-3, latest easily in Class 2 Handicap over 2800m. This a big step up but not ruled out.

12

Eldar Eldarov

Won G2 Queen’s Vase over 2800m at Royal Ascot last year then G1 St Leger. Good return when second in G2 Yorkshire Cup last month. Fine chance if stays the longer distance.

13

Echoes In Rain

Top class hurdler, capable on the Flat, second in Irish Cesarewitch over 3400m last year. Needs more and needs give in the ground.

14

Emily Dickinson

Needs more on balance of form but impressive when stepped up to 3200m in April. Best on soft ground. Fair chance if stays extra distance.
