G2 – 1600m – Turf
| Grande Dame | Ran poorly in a G1 at this meeting last year, but put that right with an impressive victory over this trip in Sandown Listed company subsequently. A big filly she seems best suited to fast ground. |
| Honey Girl | Seems more of a fighter this year and gets on well with this talented rider who partnered her to success in a G3 at The Curragh in May. Slow ground would help. |
| Internationalangel | Her seven career wins have all come in handicap company and over around 1400m, facts that raise issues for this G2 challenge over Ascot’s straight 1600m. |
| Jumbly | Swooped from off the pace to win a G3 here, though over the round course, last July. A very expensive purchase subsequently, she just ran out of gas late on when an encouraging second in a G2 at Curragh. |
| Lightship | Twice a winner of Kempton handicaps at this trip this year, but has yet to score on turf and looks a very unlikely winner here. |
| Potapova | Often promises more than she delivers but there usually are good excuses and she didn’t seem suited to Epsom’s gradients last time. Came from last to first to win a Sandown G3 last year. |
| Prosperous Voyage | Didn’t feature in a G1 at this meeting last year, but Frankie Dettori delivered her from last place to narrowly win an Epsom G3 this month. Fast ground would be helpful. |
| Queen Aminatu | Five all-weather wins but no turf success so far but she did run a good second over 1400m here last October, the slow ground seeming in her favour. |
| Random Harvest | Loves Ascot and also her close second in a G3 at Epsom this month represents a return to her best form. Likely to be right up with the pace from the start. |
| Rogue Millennium | Likely to be outpaced for much of the trip here considering this is the shortest distance she has raced over. She is very talented – as she showed again last time – but the trip is the problem. |
