Highly-rated five-year-old who is in search of his first win in 2023 after a big 2022. He continues to look well in his trials and will be there when the whips are cracking.

Sky Eye

Ultra-consistent six-year-old who can perform on the Polytrack and turf and over a range of distances. Won a race of this nature easily last start and looks the one to beat again.

Lucky Jinsha

Singapore’s Champion Polytrack horse but who has disappointed in two runs in 2023. He can run well on turf as well and could be an each-way dividend.

Kharisma

Needs to find best form. Formerly one of Singapore’s best sprinters but has not won a race for 490 days now.

Senor Don

Bled two starts ago and failed to show up first-up 27 days ago. He trialled well enough since, however, and has raced well second-up in the past.

Gold Star

Old-timer who needs to improve on what he has shown in recent starts. 385 days since his last win and a win here would surprise.

Ocean Crossing

Likes to get back in the running, so he’ll hope for a true tempo, and he has what it takes to be in the mix.

The August

Raced wide and without cover last start and weakened. Prior, he checked home a promising second place. A six-time winner at the distance, he needs to be respected.

Sacred Gift

Has not had a lot of luck in many of his recent starts but he is usually more effective on the Polytrack. Place claims are preferred.

So Hi Class

The 1200m seems too short for him but the light weight helps and he has a strong finish under the right race shape.

He has been slow to begin in recent starts, so that is the query, and so is the drop back in distance from 1600m. Others are preferred.
