Closed down last year with a Listed win at Ascot and a G3 victory at Dundalk. The Ascot win came on slow ground but he is thought to be best on a good or faster surface. Chance.

Arecibo

A past course and distance winner though only seventh in this G3 last year. In good shape when second on his last two starts. Slow ground would help.

Chipstead

Has won five of his 16 turf starts. Versatile groundwise but has tended to need his first start after an absence.

Equality

Not seen this year but his last two starts of 2022 were career-best efforts, including a decisive Haydock win. Looks best on a good or slower surface.

Equilateral

This veteran speedster has won over this trip at G2 level, in Meydan. Fourth in a 1200m G3 there in March, but ideally suited to this pure sprinting trip.

Existent

Some disappointing efforts late last year but his late thrust had only just failed to win him this G3 prize last year.

Korker

Can handle any ground and all four career wins have come over this pure speed trip. Seasonal debut and first start at a G3 level.

Live In The Dream

In great shape in 2023, winning both starts and his soft-ground front-running Pontefract victory last month was a clear career best. Has also won on a fast surface.

Mountain Peak

Reaching the veteran stage but still very effective especially with Tom Marquand riding as he was when they led throughout to beat 19 rivals in a high class Ascot handicap last July.

Raasel

Won five consecutive handicaps during a wonderful spell in late 2021. Other sprinting wins followed, including a G3 strike at Sandown. Not at his best at Meydan earlier this year.

Silky Wilkie

Has been kept busy and can boast handicap sprinting wins at Kempton and Musselburgh this year. Led but faded in a 1200m G3 last time. May be happier back at this 1000m.

Tees Spirit

Five times a sprint winner last year including in the prestigious ‘Dash’ at Epsom. Capable of a good show after a break, and best chances on good or quicker ground.

Tis Marvellous

This popular veteran is a nine-time winner. Wasn’t disgraced when sixth in this G3 last year but seems to reserve his best efforts for Ascot.

Twilight Calls

Capable of a terrific late surge as he showed when winning a handicap over this course and distance on his 2022 debut. Off since second in a Royal Ascot G1 last June. Obvious claims on that form.

Get Ahead

Having her first run at Newmarket. Made a promising start to this season when third of 16 in a Listed event at Bath, despite suffering severe interference at the start.

Sandbeck

Lightly raced but has won four of her eight starts, and three of which at this trip. Up to G3 class and also returning from an absence, but did win after a break on last year’s debut.

Vadream

A soft ground specialist who also runs over this minimum trip for the first time in her 22-race career. Won a heavy-ground Listed race early last month.
