The following changes will be applicable for track work and barrier trials during the April period.
1. The FWD QEII Cup, FWD Champions Mile & Chairman’s Sprint Prize Track Work Timetable – The attached FWD Champions Day track work timetable will become operational on Saturday, 22 April and remain effective until Sunday, 30 April 2023.
Please note the following points:
(1) The track opens 4:45am for local horses.
(2) The large & small track closes for harrowing at 6:15am.
(3) The large & small track closes at 8:30am.
(4) The bridle path and the trotting rings close at 8:30am.
(5) The Olympic Equine Pool and trotting ring closes at 8:30am except 25th and 28th April
(6) Barrier trials (25th & 28th Apr) on the All Weather Track commence 8:15am (gate close at 8:00am), only 1200M start will be offered (restricted to max. 3 batches on 28th Apr).
(7) Monday & Thursday stalls tests (24th & 27th Apr) will be held at 7:30am.
(8) 1800M Jump-outs opens between 7:00am to 8:00am:
Thurs, 27th April restricted to horses entered for R/M Sun, 30th Apr, FWD QEII Cup, FWD Champions Mile & Chairman’s Sprint Prize runners (quota not included)
(9) RDB horses will not be admitted for grass works at the 1800M Jump-outs on 24th & 27th April.
(10) Afternoon gate practice and education inside the trotting ring paddock will not be available on Fri, 28th Apr.
2. Grass Gallops
(1) Local horses entered for any of the FWD QEII Cup, FWD Champions Mile and Chairman’s Sprint Prize can gallop twice on the grass track accompanied by one additional horse from Friday, 21st April until Saturday, 29th April inclusive. The grass track will be opened between 6:00am-7:00am, booking is required.
(2) Other Overseas horses can gallop twice on the grass, from Saturday, 22nd April until Saturday, 29th April, upon completion of local horses work.
