RACE 4 – FORTE

FORTE, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in its trachea and also found the horse to be a “roarer” which had previously been reported.  FORTE was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer D A Hayes this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left hind leg. Before being allowed to race again, FORTE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

The Veterinary Officer reported that examinations conducted this morning of all other horses inspected during yesterday’s racemeeting were shown to have no significant findings.
