RACE 3 – FUNCTION PATCH
FUNCTION PATCH, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. FUNCTION PATCH was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer K W Lui yesterday morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left hind leg. Before being allowed to race again, FUNCTION PATCH will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
RACE 5 – YOUNG EXPLORER
The Veterinary Surgeon reported that YOUNG EXPLORER was lame in its left front leg after racing. Before being allowed to race again, YOUNG EXPLORER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
RACE 10 – GLOBAL HARMONY
GLOBAL HARMONY, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. GLOBAL HARMONY was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer D A Hayes yesterday morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in both hind legs. As previously advised, GLOBAL HARMONY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
The Veterinary Officer reported that examinations conducted yesterday morning of all other horses inspected during last Tuesday’s racemeeting were shown to have no significant findings.
