The Stewards have today been advised that Jockey Alexis Badel, who has not ridden since being injured at the Sha Tin racemeeting conducted on 20 November 2022, has been passed by Chief Medical Officer to resume riding track work on Monday, 2 January 2023. 

Jockey Badel has advised that at this time it is his intention to resume riding in barrier trials on Friday, 6 January 2023 with a view to accepting a limited number of race riding engagements for the Sha Tin racemeeting to be conducted on Sunday, 8 January 2023. 

Jockey Badel will be assessed by the Chief Medical Officer after riding in barrier trials on Friday, 6 January 2023 to establish his fitness to fulfil his intended race riding engagements on Sunday, 8 January 2023.

A further release will be issued at the appropriate time.
