The Hong Kong Jockey Club purchased one striking colt at the recent Tattersalls December Yearling Sale in Newmarket, Great Britain for a total outlay of 100,000 guineas (approx. HK$955,000).
Invincible Spirit is a reliable source of winners in Hong Kong and the Club was pleased to walk away with Lot 112 – a bay son of the Irish-bred sire. Boasting over 50 wins in Hong Kong, Invincible Spirit’s best known progeny in the city includes the six-time winning Citron Spirit and five-time winning Windicator Returns, Secret Of Winning and Business As Usual as well as Invincible Dragon – a four-time winner – who twice struck at Class 1 level over 1400m at Sha Tin.
Invincible Spirit is best known overseas as the sire of Kingman, Lawman, Moonlight Cloud, Charm Spirit, Shalaa, Magna Grecia and Nazeef. The colt’s mare – Aspirer – is by none other than the exceptional Frankel.
