2022 LONGINES HKIR Free Entries for overseas-trained horses to close on 17 October

Free Entries for the LONGINES Hong Kong International Races (LONGINES HKIR) will close on Monday, 17 October for overseas-trained horses, with no supplementary entry stage. The closing dates for Hong Kong-trained horses will close on Monday, 24 October and supplementary entries for Hong Kong-trained horses will close on 21 November.

The four Group 1 features at Sha Tin Racecourse on Sunday, 11 December will carry a combined record HK$110 million in prize money.

The 2022 LONGINES HKIR will again feature a star-studded renewal of the LONGINES International Jockeys’ Championship on 7 December at Happy Valley Racecourse.

“LONGINES HKIR and the LONGINES International Jockeys’ Championships are always incredibly exciting events and this year the anticipation is already building ahead of the close of entries for LONGINES HKIR,” Mr Greg Carpenter, Head of Racing Product of the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
