The Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast a total of eight races for betting from Australia and United Kingdom on Saturday, 15 October.
The Everest (1.15pm Hong Kong time)
The Everest (1200m 3yo+) has become a worldwide showcase racing event ever since its inception 2017. Although the race does not carry any Group status, it is the richest turf race in the world with a mammoth A$15 million of prizemoney on offer.
Caulfield Cup (2.15pm Hong Kong time)
Caulfield Cup (G1 2400m handicap for 3yo+) is the climax of Caulfield’s slice of the Spring Racing Carnival. It is not only the world’s richest 2400m handicap, but also an important lead-up race to the prestigious G1 Melbourne Cup held in November.
British Champions Day (6 races – 1st race starts 8.25pm Hong Kong time)
The eyes of the racing world will turn to Ascot on Saturday evening as some of Europe’s best horses and jockeys gather for the richest meeting on English soil – British Champions Day. The simulcast features five end-of-season championship races for horses of different categories and Europe’s richest handicap over a mile. The unbeaten superstar Baaeed, currently the world’s top rated turf horse, is poised to finish off his illustrious career in the Champion Stakes.
