G1 – 2000m – Turf

Above The Curve

Won at Group level over this trip on her last two starts, first here at Longchamp in May and then returning from a 105-day absence, at The Curragh. Bravely, she found more when challenged that day and her trainer insists she will be sharper for that run. Chance.

Agave

A narrow but convincing winner of a soft-ground G3 at Saint-Cloud over 2100m in April. Hasn’t really improved on that since though the 2400m trip may have been beyond her last time.

Ebaiyra

A fine third in last year’s LONGINES Hong Kong Vase, with former victories at G2 and G3 level though 0-7 at a G1 level. A good third over this trip in a Deauville G1 in August.

Fall In Love

Only win came in a minor event. She has tackled high class company on her last three starts, not disgraced but without looking like winning. Will probably struggle.

Insinuendo

Always seems to give her best and only narrowly beaten on her last two starts, both at The Curragh over this distance and in G3 and G2 company. On the first occasion she was unlucky not to beat likely Arc favourite Luxembourg.

Jupyra

Best on a slow surface, she is having her first start in G1 company and, though she has won in Listed company over this trip, she looks very vulnerable here.

La Parisienne

Her first choice race was the Arc but this very talented filly was eliminated from that. Terrific performances in defeat on her last two starts, unlucky in a G1 here last time. Wants a strong pace at this shorter trip.

Mqse De Sevigne

A G3 winner on very slow ground over 1800m here at Longchamp in April, and twice beaten into second by the same rival over 2000m in G2 and G3 company in August.

My Astra

This lightly raced filly continues to progress. A 12l Listed winner in May, then coming close to a G1 victory over this trip at The Curragh in June. Needs to be at peak fitness after the absence.

Nashwa

A brilliant filly who delivered a superb performance when winning a G1 French Classic at Chantilly in June, adding to that with a G1 victory at Goodwood in July. This has been her target since. Big chance.

Place Du Carrousel

Finished well when second in a G1 over this course and distance in May, a career best followed by a less good show at Chantilly. With stamina in her pedigree, a strong pace would surely help.

Rosacea

Came close to winning a 1600m G1 Classic here in May. Then didn’t have luck in running another G1 Classic, over 2100m at Chantilly. Not as good after a two month break, at Deauville.

Rumi

Both her Group races wins (one at this track) were surprise victories according to the betting. Ran her best race of 2022 when a close fourth in a 2000m G1 at Deauville in August.

Trevaunance

Supplemented with facts and figures suggesting  she is on the upgrade, outrunning her odds when winning a G3 and G2 over this trip at Deauville on her last two starts, especially impressive when dominating from the front last time.

Tuesday

Very high class, she drops back in trip from her last four runs that include a brave victory in a G1 Classic at Epsom. A decent fourth in a G1 here last time, just lacking a finishing kick.

Zefania

Not beaten far in G2 and G3 company on her last three starts, doing her best work late on each time. But she’s over a shorter trip now and in G1 company. Unlikely to have enough pace.
