Trainer thinks he will be sharper from last month’s fifth in a G1. Proved he handles fast ground when nearly winning a G1 at Del Mar last November.

Likely hot favourite, having won three G1’s last season including two Classics, then finishing a close third in the Arc. Reported in great shape despite the absence.

Layfayette

A real improver and unbeaten in three starts this season, latterly winning a G2 at The Curragh with some ease. Trainer not worried by quick ground.

Living Legend

Never competitive in an Epsom G1 last time. Progressive earlier including a G2 win over this trip at Newmarket. Enthusiastic, and can’t be written off.

Mostahdaf

Has won six of his eight starts but a slightly disappointing favourite in a G3 at Sandown last time. Also needs to prove he can handle the move up to this trip.

Solid Stone

Supplemented and respected with the stable having won this 11 times. Generally consistent he bounced back to form with a G2 win last time. Up in trip.

Powered clear of his rivals to win a Listed event over this trip at Goodwood last month. Seems best on slow ground – unlikely here.
