HKJC launched a new account opening mobile app in May last year for customers* to register betting accounts online via smartphones. For further convenience and an enhanced experience in managing betting account online, the Club is pleased to announce the launch of a new function – “Find My Account” – in the “HKJC Account Opening” mobile app today, 27 May 2022. The new function allows customers to conveniently reset their betting accounts and link to a bank account online via a smartphone, saving the time and necessity of applying at an Off-Course Betting Branch (OCBB).

Currently, customers who forgot their betting account numbers and passwords must visit an OCBB for on-site identity verification to perform the reset. The new “Find My Account” function provides these customers with a solution. It enables them to check whether they have already registered an account, and to reset their betting accounts and reactivate online betting services, anytime and anywhere conveniently, by simply using a mobile phone number and artificial intelligence identity verification.

In using the new function to reset a betting account, applicants can download the “HKJC Account Opening” mobile app on their smartphones and go to the “Find My Account” tab. Once the tab is open, customers can follow a few simple steps to complete online registration, which includes inputting a residential address, linking a personal bank account and setting up their login profile. The whole process is digitalised and can be completed in as quickly as five minutes.

The reset account application can be approved on the same day under normal circumstances, depending on whether the applicant has provided all required information and the time needed by the customer’s chosen bank to process the application.

Additionally, customers wishing to link a bank account to their betting accounts for instant funds transfer service can also register via this new function.

The “Find my Account” function is designed with a user-friendly interface. With the provision of interactive text instructions and voice guidance, applicants can follow the process in a clear and easy way.           

The new “Find My Account” function is available now. Existing users are required to update the “HKJC Account Opening” mobile app for the latest version. iPhone and Android users can download the app from relevant Hong Kong app stores or through the Club’s official website at https://m.hkjc.com.
