1200m – Turf

1

Kassab

In-form five-year-old who has yet to miss the placings from five local starts and was last seen winning well. However, he faces a tougher test here switching to turf and the rise to 1200m, where his record is poor.

2

Everest

Promising four-year-old horse whose record reads two wins and three placings from seven starts to date. He races first-up off a 217-day break and his recent trial was a pass mark.

3

Stenmark

Erratic, but has ability. Two starts ago he refused to jump, while last time he dumped the rider shortly after the start. If he jumps on terms, he can play a part in the finish.

4

Be You

Has not won for 427 days now but recent runs have been encouraging and he had excuses last start when second place after the saddle slipped. He will be thereabouts.

5

Proof Perfect

503 days since his last won but he has finished runner-up in two runs from five outing this year, never beaten far.

6

Royal Return

Last seen 217 days ago when a drifting race favourite and racing wide throughout. Yet to win in three Singapore starts, but he should be getting the job done this preparation.

7

Blazing Kid

Up-and-coming four-year-old who won impressively at his first try in Class 4 last time, now with two wins and two seconds from five starts. He’s a leading contender here.

8

Sacred Suite

Remains unplaced from five local starts and big improvement is needed.

9

Tom Cat

His last win occurred at this meeting last year.

10

Intrepid

Likes to get back and charge home. She generally performs best in Class 5 and can miss the start more often than not.

11

Lim’s Zoom

Old-timer whose best runs now come in Class 5 and others are preferred here.

12

Beat The Light

Goes well at the track and distance but Class 4 looks tough for him. Place chances seem best.

13

Miracle

20 starts in Class 4 for one third place speaks for itself. Needs something easier than this.
