The Club’s Chief Medical Officer has informed the Stewards that jockey Jerry C L Chau, who sustained an injury to his left hand yesterday evening which required stitching, has been stood down from his race riding engagements for the Sha Tin race meeting to be conducted on Sunday, 5 December 2021.

 Accordingly, the Stewards have approved the following riding substitutions; –

Race 1 – Super Fast – R Maia
Race 6 – Unicornbaby – A Hamelin
Race 7 – Will Power – B Shinn
Race 8 – Cordyceps Six – C Schofield
Race 9 – Elite Patch – R Maia
Race 10 – Rise Brethren – R Maia

A further release will be issued at the appropriate time regarding Jockey Chau’s eligibility to resume riding. He will not ride at the Happy Valley and Sha Tin race meetings on Wednesday, 8 December 2021 and Sunday, 12 December 2021, respectively, due to suspension.
