| 1 | Quantum King | Showed good pace in both starts. Form of his maiden win is suspect but he will much prefer 1600m. Pole position draw is always a major bonus over this course and distance. |
| 2 | Laird Of Breedon | Only once out of the money in seven outings. Has improved in blinkers. Beaten by a smart filly last time out. Money chance. |
| 3 | Safe Return | Came from the clouds to get up for his last win. That was his first run as a gelding. Will enjoy the extra furlong and rates a winning chance. |
| 4 | William Robertson | Beaten by the draw last run. Showed good pace and stayed on gamely. Does face stronger here but has a money chance again. |
| 5 | Partner In Crime | Enjoyed the extra distance when shedding his maiden. That form has since been franked but he has not raced for nearly three months which is a concern. Has an outside chance. |
| 6 | Gaudis Masterpiece | Still a maiden after three starts. Only got going late when touched off in a small feature on this course. Will enjoy the trip. Comes from a top stable. Definite winning chance. |
| 7 | Excellarator | Improved with each outing. Game maiden winner in a race that has produced two subsequent winners. The mile should not be an issue and has an in-form rider aboard. Not out of it. |
| 8 | Anytime Champ | Found a lot of market support on debut and landed the gamble in good fashion. Goes the trip for the first time. Would not be a major upset should he pull it off. |
| 9 | Hasta Manana | Found one too good in all four starts. Faces a lot stronger here. Money chance. |
| 10 | Waterberry Lane | Came from a long way off the pace to win a G2 on this course. Found plenty of traffic in the process. Draw not in his favour but does finish his races off. Big runner. |
| 11 | Happy And Glorious | Won well first run as a gelding. He can surprise although stable companion is preferred. |
| 12 | Honokalani | Caught the eye when finishing strong behind Waterberry Lane in a G2. Draw a concern but capable of pulling this off. |
| 13 | Good Traveller | Running on well behind Waterberry Lane from a poor draw. Has another difficult gate to overcome. Some luck in running can see him go close. |
| 14 | Starrywinternight | Much improved since gelding but will be hard pressed to win in this company from the worst gate. |

| 15 | Fisher King | Reserve runner. Unlikely to feature should he get a run. |
